Trivia
The Dawn Stone has only two applications, the least amount out of all Evolution stones .
The Dawn Stone is the only stone which can only evolve a Pokémon if it is a specific gender , with this requirement applying to both of the Pokémon it can evolve.
Both Pokémon that require the Dawn Stone to evolve debuted in Generation III and are part of a branched Evolution while their evolved form are part of a cross-generational Evolution from Generation IV .
The evolved form both gain a type their previous form did not have, Ghost for Froslass and Fighting for Gallade .
The Dawn Stone is the only Evolution stone not to receive any new application past its debut generation .
Generation V introduced at least one new application for each of all available Evolution stones at the time, other than the Dawn Stone.
