Eureka Seed

Eureka Seed (Japanese: ひらめきのたね Seed of Inspiration) is an item in Pokémon Sleep. It was introduced as a mysterious item during the Cresselia vs. Darkrai event in March 2025. Eureka Seed was gifted to the player after they befriended Darkrai for the first time during the event.

The use of Eureka Seed was revealed during the first New Moon Day event in May 2025.

In-game description

A mysterious seed that can bring out Mythical Pokémon's true power. It was a gift from Mythical Pokémon to commemorate your friendship.
You can choose one ingredient or sub skill from Mythical Pokémon's helping stats to unlock or change. However, what it's changed to will be random.

Acquisition

Players can receive Eureka Seed for befriending Darkrai for the first time and for rising Darkrai's Friendship Level. Mythical Pokémon can only be befriended once so instead of befriending a second or multiple of the Mythical Pokémon, the player receives an Eureka Seed instead.

Effect

Eureka Seed is used to unlock or change Darkrai's Ingredient or Sub Skill. After using Eureka Seed the player is given an option to choose either a specific Ingredient or Sub Skill slot.

The Ingredients and Sub Skills are selected at random. They can be changed by using an additional Eureka Seed.

The player can also exchange Eureka Seed for 40 Darkrai Candy.
