"Sprinting Build" Honda Koraidon created for the Honda Koraidon Project
The Honda Koraidon Project (Japanese: ホンダコライドンプロジェクトHonda Koraidon Project), also known as the HONDA KORAIDON Ride on Dream Project, is an initiative launched by The Pokémon Company in partnership with Honda Motor Co., Ltd. The project's goal is to create a real-life functioning model of the Sprinting Build of Koraidon, dubbed the "Honda Koraidon" (Japanese: ホンダコライドン).
The project team comprised approximately 40 volunteering employees from Honda's Motorcycle and Power Products Operations and Innovative Research Excellence divisions.[2] The team incorporated Honda's proprietary Riding Assist balancing technology into the Honda Koraidon model to allow it to walk on four legs and stand on two wheels.[1][2] The Honda Koraidon model is stated to be almost-accurate to Koraidon's real size.[2] It is also fully mobile, and when sprinting is capable of reaching speeds of 10 to 15 km/h (6.2 to 9.3 mph).[3][4]

The Honda Koraidon Project was officially announced to the public on February 27 (Pokémon Day), 2025. The Honda Koraidon model itself was first exhibited at Honda Welcome Plaza Aoyama, Tokyo on March 7 - 9, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM each day (from 1:00 PM on March 7). Due to space restrictions, the Honda Koraidon exhibit was stationary and the Honda Koraidon did not travel around the venue.[2]
The Honda Koraidon model was later exhibited at the 46th annual Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race event on August 1 - 3, 2025. The Honda Koraidon model was made as part of a stationary display exhibit at the Honda Racing Gallery in the Suzuka Circuit complex from August 1 - 2; the display exhibit is non-ticketed and visitors are attended to on a first-come, first served basis.[1] On August 3, at the pre-finale ceremony of the Suzuka 8 Hours race, the Honda Koraidon model showcased its full mobility for the first time by sprinting across the Suzuka Circuit Racing Course.[1][6]
