okayamatakatoshi
okayamatakatoshi (Japanese: おかやまたかとし Okayama Takatoshi) is a Kyoto-based freelance illustrator[1] who has contributed to Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket. Prior to his work on the series, he was a participant in the Pokémon Trading Card Game Illustration Contest 2022, where his submitted artwork of Scizor was a quarterfinalist. His first card was Snorlax, one of the Promo-A promotional cards. He is notable for being the first TCG Pocket artist outside of PLANETA to have not previously illustrated for the physical Pokémon Trading Card Game. He made his physical Pokémon Trading Card Game debut afterward with illustrations of the Scolipede line in the Black Bolt expansion.
okayamatakatoshi is a graduate of Kyoto Seika University.[1] Although his illustrations are created digitally using programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, they have a hand-painted look to them.[2] Outside Pokémon, he works caricatures and picture books.[1][2]
