Plush-O-Matic
The Plush-O-Matic (Japanese: ぬいマシン Plush Machine) is a machine featured in Pokémon Friends. When yarn is added to the Plush-O-Matic, Pokémon plush are created. It also contains a catalog where the player can look at all the plush that they have created.
Making plush
The Plush-O-Matic is found on the left side of the home menu. The player can create plush by selecting it and then choosing the Make option. A menu appears that shows every type of yarn that the player has acquired, as well as the number of each that they currently own; if the player does not currently have any of a particular type of yarn, its icon will appear grayed out in the menu. However, they can still check the plush rates of that type of yarn.
When the player selects a ball of yarn to put into the Plush-O-Matic, a small animation plays before the player receives a plush, selected randomly from the list of plush available to the player from that yarn. If pretty nice yarn is used, there is a 25% chance of the screen briefly turning white and awarding the player a bonus plush. Any pretty nice yarn the player has of a particular type will be used before any regular yarn of that type.
Plush availability
The types of plush available to the player from each type of yarn depends on which DLC packs, if any, they have purchased. Some types of yarn are exclusively available after DLC has been purchased. The probability of getting any specific plush from a type of yarn is divided equally among all plush excluding plush of Legendary and Mythical Pokémon. If any Legendary or Mythical Pokémon are available from a type of yarn, they have a 2% probability of being created, divided equally among all of them. This probability is doubled to 4% if pretty nice yarn is used. The remaining 98% or 96% probability is then divided equally among all non-Legendary and non-Mythical Pokémon plush.
