Porto Marinada appeared in Dragonite and the Special Delivery. In the town, Hana tries to find the sender of a letter with no address, whose envelope depicts a picture of Porto Marinada Market. However, no one in the town knows whose letter it is.
Porto Marinada is mainly based on the town of Costa Nova do Prado, Portugal, with its iconic striped houses. The Porto Marinada Market's exterior is also a direct reference to the Costa Nova's market facade and old coloring.
