In the core series games Price Effect When held by a Pokémon, increases to that Pokémon's friendship are increased by 50%.
Generation III The Soothe Bell increases only the original friendship boost, not bonuses from the Luxury Ball and met location.
Generation IV onward The Soothe Bell increases the friendship boost after applying bonuses from the Luxury Ball and met location.
