This village is located in the Aq-Kahriz Rural District, and according to the 2006 census conducted by the Statistical Center of Iran, its population was 30 people (7 households).

The first inhabitants of this village, some of whom were forcibly relocated between 1945 and 1946 from Maragheh and Miandoab (Saremi Hill), consisted of more than twenty households, mostly of Turkic or Kurdish origin.

The predominant language of the village’s population at the time of its establishment was Azerbaijani Turkish, since many of its residents had migrated from Azerbaijani regions due to Reza Khan’s anti-minority policies.

In the years following this forced relocation, most of the residents migrated to the village of Eskin in Khorramabad and were compelled to change their family name from “Saremi” to “Sepahvand.” [1]
