Player's Family
The Player's Family are a group of three non-player characters in Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia. They are the father, mother, and younger sister of the player, referred to as Dad, Mom, and Little Sis in-game.
The player's family resides in Chicole Village, having recently moved from their former home in Fiore. In addition to their home, the family also owns a field south of Chicole Village called Partner Farm.
The player's family is first mentioned while the player is at Ranger School, when the player receives letters from Little Sis telling the player that their family will soon move to Almia.
The family is first seen after the player graduates from Ranger School. The player is woken up in their bedroom at the family's house in Chicole Village by Little Sis, indicating that the player has since returned home from school. Little Sis reminds the player that today is their first day as a professional Pokémon Ranger. The player and Little Sis go downstairs, where they are greeted by Mom and Dad. Here, it is revealed that the player's family has recently moved to Chicole Village, and that Mom and Dad dreamed of owning a house like this for a long time. Little Sis then tells the player that the family also owns a field nearby, and that she named it Partner Farm because Mom and Dad get along so well.
During the first Mission, the player must deliver the Vien Tribune to the citizens of Vientown and Chicole Village. Upon entering the family's house in this Mission, the family comments on the player's new ranger uniform. Mom then asks Crawford keep an eye on the player, as they are still young.
During the fourth mission, Ollie asks the player to take him to Chicole Village. Upon arriving in the village, Little Sis appears and asks the player to help her catch a "hat ghost" in the field of Partner Farm. Completing the task reveals that the hat ghost is only a Kricketot. This Kricketot becomes the first optional Partner Pokémon. Little Sis tells the player that she will care for Kricketot at Partner Farm until the player needs the Pokémon's assistance. This remains true for all future Partner Pokémon.
During the eighth mission, the player's family appears outside the Ranger Base in Vientown to congratulate the player on becoming a Top Ranger.
Each member of the family offers a unique quest for the player.
