Rita (Japanese: リタ Rita) is an assistant to Professor Mirror at the Laboratory of Ecology and Natural Sciences in the Lental region in New Pokémon Snap. Rita's hair shape and eye color resemble a Goodra. She is the daughter of one of Professor Mirror's good friends, and she currently stays with Professor Mirror on Lental during her school holidays.

She is a friend of Phil, but they sometimes argue. Phil describes that she is like a big sister to him and the player. She is kind and caring. According to the notes on loading screens, she took the landscape photos which can be found in the Laboratory of Ecology and Natural Sciences, which are from the Secrets of the Jungle movie.

Rita made a cameo appearance in Secrets of the Jungle, taking pictures in Milyfa Town with Phil.
