Mission (Masters)

Missions (Japanese: ミッション Mission) are a feature in Pokémon Masters EX. These are specific goals which award the player with special rewards when completed.

Daily

These missions reset daily and are the same every day. As of August 28, 2023, the current daily missions are:

Prior to August 28, 2023, all of the daily missions had to be completed to receive the special reward, which only included 80 Gems. From launch to July 29, 2020, there were 5 daily missions; from July 29, 2020, to May 28, 2022, there were 6 daily missions; and from May 28, 2022, to August 28, 2023, there were 7 daily missions.

Some daily missions were added, removed, or had their rewards tweaked over time. The following table lists all previous daily missions, including missions that are currently daily missions but had different rewards.

General

Main article: List of General missions

These are permanent missions which can be completed at any time. Many of these have more than one tier of rewards as the player gets more of that type of task completed.

Event

Main article: Pokémon Masters EX → Events

These are limited-time missions, which are usually tied to a specific event. Missions that are not tied to a specific event are typically called a "rally" or "special missions".

Once the time period for the missions ends, players have three days to claim any unclaimed rewards from already-completed missions.

Four-Year Anniversary Celebration Missions

These missions ran from August 28 to September 15, 2023, to celebrate the four-year anniversary of the game. Five missions were available from the start, with more made available over time. Completing eight missions rewarded players with a Fair-Exclusive 5★-Select Scout Ticket, which could be used in the special Fair-Exclusive 5★-Select Ticket Scout to scout 10 sync pairs and select one of three fair-exclusive sync pairs: N, Marnie, or Raihan.

Edit Your Profile Special Missions

These missions were held from February 26 to March 31, 2024, to commemorate the revamped Profile feature introduced in version 2.42.0. Players could receive up to 1,100 Gems for using the new profile features. These missions could only be accessed after updating to version 2.42.0 or higher.

A new arc will begin soon! Replay the Mysterious Stones chapter!

These missions ran from August 20 to 28, 2024 to commemorate the completion of the Mysterious Stones Chapter and the reveal the ??? Arc of the Main Story. Players could receive a total of 1,500 Gems by completing all story areas in the Mysterious Stones Chapter. Despite the title of the missions, players did not need to replay story areas they had already completed to claim the reward for the corresponding mission.

Special Photo Missions Viola's Photo Requests

These missions ran from January 22 to February 5, 2025. They allowed players to receive Gems and Roll Cake Coins by taking pictures in the photo creator. While these missions were available, Viola would occasionally appear in the Pokémon Center with a special event conversation. Only one mission was available on the first day; additional missions were made available over the first ten days the missions were available. Each mission's short description was "Take a Fantastic Shot!" followed by the mission number.

Battle Rally missions

Alongside the addition of the Battle Rally on January 31, 2024, weekly missions were added to allow players to obtain Battle Rally Passes. These can be found in the Event menu under the title Battle Rally missions updated every week!. The first set of missions ran from January 31 to February 5, 2024. From then on, a new set of Battle Rally missions was made available on Monday of each week and ended on Monday of the next week. In addition to the Battle Rally Pass, players can also earn a Roll Cake Coin Voucher and 300 Gems for completing a Battle Rally. Once a new set of missions begins, players still have three days to claim unclaimed rewards from the previous week's Battle Rally missions.

Mission Bingo

Mission Bingo (Japanese: ビンゴミッション Bingo Mission) was introduced in version 1.5.0. These are special missions in a 3×3 bingo format, with each mission representing one tile of the bingo. Once the mission requirement is fulfilled, the player will obtain the reward for that mission tile. Once a horizontal, vertical or diagonal row of missions is completed, the player will obtain additional bingo rewards. Once all tiles are filled, then the message "Blackout!" will be displayed and the player will be given a special reward.

Regular Mission Bingo

Prior to version 2.59.0, released on July 28, 2025, there were six permanent Mission Bingo cards that could be completed at any time and once completed could not be repeated. These were ended in the version 2.59.0 update, and their most pertinent rewards were added into the Beginner's Guide.

Rise to 6★ EX with Rosa!

This Mission Bingo was added on August 28, 2020, in conjunction with the addition of 6★ EX to the game. Completing all the missions on this card would give players 10 Custom ★ Power-Ups for Rosa & Snivy, with the other 10 Custom ★ Power-Ups available as a log-in bonus.

This Mission Bingo and the associated log-in bonus were originally scheduled to end on August 28, 2023. In version 2.36.0, released on August 24, 2023, their end date was removed. They were ultimately ended in version 2.59.0, released on July 28, 2025.

Professor Oak & Mew Special Missions

This Mission Bingo began on August 28, 2020, to coincide with Professor Oak & Mew being given out to all players for free, and ran until August 28, 2023. These missions required players to complete certain chapters of the PML Arc, and completing them all would give players custom items to raise Professor Oak & Mew's level cap to level 125 and custom vouchers to exchange in the shop to maximize Professor Oak & Mew's move level. As with all other limited-time missions, players who had completed missions on the bingo card but not yet claimed their rewards for completing those missions had three days to do so.

On August 28, 2023, a new version of these missions began with no scheduled end date. The missions were the same as those on the previous bingo card, but they instead gave players non-custom items to raise Professor Oak & Mew's level cap to level 125 and move candies to maximize Professor Oak & Mew's move level. Players who had already received some or all of the rewards from the previous card were still able to receive all the rewards from the new card. This Mission Bingo was ultimately ended in version 2.59.0, released on July 28, 2025.

Weekly Mission Bingo

Weekly Mission Bingos were previously available and used to come in three difficulties (beginner, intermediate, and advanced), with three options for each difficulty. The player was only able to choose one of the nine bingos for the week. Completing the Weekly Mission Bingo awarded the player 300 gems once completed. As of version 1.12.0, released on July 29, 2020, this bingo has been retired indefinitely.

Long-term Mission Bingo

Some Mission Bingo cards had a duration of multiple years, making their rewards easily accessible to players. Aside from their limited duration, they had no connection to any limited-time events. As of August 28, 2023, all long-term Mission Bingo cards had been changed into permanent Mission Bingo cards, effectively retiring this type of bingo.

Event Mission Bingo

These Mission Bingos are only available for a limited time. They usually celebrate a special occasion or commemorate the addition of a certain sync pair to the game, but some have been tied to legendary events, story events, or the introduction of a new feature to the game.

Beginner's Guide

The Beginner's Guide was added in version 2.59.0, released on July 28, 2025. It contains a series of missions aimed at players just starting the game, as well as players returning after a long time. To coincide with its addition, Scottie/Bettie & Pikachu had 6★ EX unlocked, an EX role added, and superawakening added. Items to power up this sync pair are included among the mission rewards. Players who had already completed the requirements of these newly added missions could claim the rewards immediately (with the exception of the mission "complete the designated Battle Villa hall", though this was fixed in version 2.60.0).

Missions in the Beginner's Guide are divided into three categories: Features, Upgrades, and Other. A tip is provided for each mission, which can be viewed in the mission's details. At the top of the menu for each category, Trista is shown offering the tip for the next incomplete mission in that category.

In total, a player who completes all of the Beginner's Guide missions will earn:
